AmbienAmbien:Ambien is a sedative used primarily to induce sleep in people suffering from insomnia. This drug is a very strong sedative and thus much care should be spared when taking it. Some things to keep in perspective is that taking Ambien should be taken only when a person is sure he / she want to fall asleep. Unless the person taking this medicine has 7 or 8 full hours of sleep this drug should not be taken.

Another thing to consider is that taking Ambien should only be taken when a person has not been known allergic reactions to the drug. This is why Ambien should only be taken by prescription and after the full confidence of a doctor. The doctor would make sure that the person taking Ambien do not have allergies that are caused by taking it. If the person suffers an allergic reaction to Ambien anyway then the use of sedative must be immediately stopped and a doctor should be consulted. Side effects of Ambien or allergic reactions include swelling of the tongue, lips, throat or face.

There are some people who may be without the induction of sleep after taking Ambien and can continue their normal duties, but after sleeping, report that they have no memory of the things he did after taking Ambien. This is also a very dangerous and people who suffer from this should contact their physician as well. Beyond that, Ambien is a drug that gives a large short-term solution for insomnia.
