Alice Kim Cage, Nicolas Cage was arrested Friday in New Orleans on charges of domestic abuse after a suspected drunken argument with his wife, Alice Kim, if the residence of the French Quarter who were standing in front of was in fact rent. On Saturday, police released more details on the arrest.

During the struggle of the couple, a New Orleans police, said department spokesman, Kim Cage allegedly grabbed by the upper arm and pulled her into the house he insisted – and she did not agree – it was his rent. The “Drive Angry D” star, then started hitting cars parked on the street and tried to get into a taxi, police said, until an officer who had been marked by the audience told him that out of the taxi.

Cage then challenged officers to arrest, TMZ first reported, ultimately get his wish.

Actor Nicolas Cage has been arrested in New Orleans after a drunken argument with his wife outside a residence in the French Quarter, police said Saturday.

The film star aged 47, was arrested around 11:30 pm on Friday and booked on suspicion of domestic abuse battery, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness, police spokesman Garry Flot, New Orleans, said in a statement.

Cage is expected to make an initial court appearance on Saturday afternoon.

According to the statement, Cage was seen arguing with his wife on a street in the French Quarter of the city.

“(Cage) and his wife were standing in front of a residence that he insisted on the property that the couple had rented,” Flot said in a statement. “She agreed and Cage grabbed her arm and pulled her to what he thought was the right direction.”

The actor then started striking cars and tried to get into a taxi, Flot said.

“At that point, an officer who had been marked by in-spectators drove up to the couple, immediately noted that Cage was very drunk, and ordered him out of the cab, causing Cage to start screaming. The officers later took the cage to the center of Lock-Up, “Flot said.

There was no visible injuries Cage’s wife, said.

Cage, the nephew of filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola, is best known for films like “Raising Arizona”, “Gone in Seconds” and “National Treasure.”

He has been twice nominated for an Oscar, winning the Oscar for her portrayal of a down-and-out alcoholic in the film “Leaving Las Vegas.”
