Alex Kirst

Alex Kirst, Alex, batteur”Kirst, a former member of the glam rock band The Nymphs and later by Iggy Pop, died at the age of 47 years.

Kirsten was on January 13 in the California desert over. The driver committed a hit and run, police are looking for a white Chevrolet Tahoe or GMC Yukon.

Nymphs group was in the late 80s and early 90s with success, but broke up after one album. Alex and his brother Whitey went on to Marshal Pete with trolls and were albums of Iggy Pop Beat ‘Em Up “and” Skull Ring “at issue.

Alex Kirst, a former member of seminal LA glam rock Nymphs and, later, the longtime drummer for the band Iggy Pop, died tragically on January 13. Under the desert sun, Kirst was killed in a hit and run accident in Cathedral City, Riverside County. Nymphs had their heyday in the late 80s and early 90s and were tipped to be big stars at the time when you could see two Motley Crue and Jane’s Addiction on the Sunset Strip, the same night. However, the group disbanded after one album.

Iggy Pop came to sing on one of these tracks nymphs, and continued with Kirst over the years. Later, Alex and his brother Pete joined Whitey Marshal to form The Trolls, safeguarding Pop on his album Beat Em ‘Up and Skull Ring. Unfortunately, Kirst death marks the sixth such accident in Coachella Valley in recent months. Kirst was 47. In honor of Kirst, see the nymphs’ near-hit “Imitating Angels”
