Albertina Walker

Albertina Walker, It’s a bleak morning for fans of the Gospel and the family and friends of the legendary gospel singer Albertina Walker. Praise 93.1 and Yolanda Morning reports show that Mrs. Walker died at 4:30 am in Chicago for respiratory problems. In his 81st birthday, August 29, Ms. Walker was taken to hospital for respiratory problems and placed on a ventilator for oxygen support. While rumors spread through social networks that had died in September, family members have spread that she had not died. It is believed she has been on the fan until this morning when it happened.

Hailed as the “Queen of Gospel” Albertina is best known for creating the popular gospel group the Caravans were members as Shirley Caesar, Dorothy Norwood, Inez Andrews, James Cleveland, and many others, just to name a few throuhgout the years of the group.

Albertina Walker really will be missed, but his music will always be with us! I can only imagine how great of a home service course we will see this icon TRUTH!
