Alaska Earthquake Information Center — Anchora — Alaska — AP – - The Alaska Earthquake Information Center says a magnitude 5.0 earthquake has rocked Anchorage and other communities in south central Alaska, but there were no reports of injuries.
The earthquake was recorded at 7:15 Wednesday.Geophysicist Randy Baldwin at the National Museum Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colorado, says the Centre’s website has received more than 600 reports from people who felt the earthquake. Most reports came from the Anchorage area. It was also felt in Fort Richardson, Elmendorf Air Force Base and communities in Wasilla, Palmer and Chugiak.
It was centered about 50 miles north-northwest of Anchorage at a depth of 13 miles.
