Alan Moore Alabama Football PlayerAlan Moore Alabama Football Player, A veteran of 61 years, Vietnam will become the oldest player in college football after getting a roster spot at Faulkner University in Alabama, The Birmingham News reported.

Alan Moore was the best for Wednesday’s practice in Montgomery, hoping to earn a starting spot as a kicker of the team, along with his teammates young enough to be his grandchildren.

Moore joined the Eagles, who compete in the midSouth conference, after a year as a kicker Holmes Community College in Mississippi. Decided to return to football after practicing kicks in the backyard of his daughter.

Moore had hoped to return to his alma mater – Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Mississippi – but was rejected.

He first played in his first year at Jones County in 1968, before his college career was interrupted by military service in Vietnam.
