AirAsia Lawsuit, Australia’s regulatory board has taken legal action out against AirAsia for failing to disclose full airfare prices on flights between Australia and international destination.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is said to have commenced legal proceeding in Melbourne earlier this week, asking the carrier to pay penalties as well as issue a corrective notice on its website, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Documents filed read that the ACCC found fares on the airline’s site since September last year would only display part of the total price for flights flying between Melbourne, Perth and the Gold Coast to locations in Asia and Europe.
