Adam Levine Slams American Idol, If it was not clear that there was a dispute between the voice and before American Idol, Adam Levine is the escalation of tension. Maroon 5 frontman recently closed the FOX competition in a recent interview with out magazine.
In the article, Levine says that the idol is hidden sexuality of its competitors, while the contestants voice can be open about their sexuality.
“[The Voice] is a great show, as not to alienate anyone,” said Levine. “If you are a talented, and want a career, and is trying to join an industry very intimidating and completely dismantled – no matter what other bulls-t, and go for what could be immediately effective.”
“What always bothered me is wanting idol mask [sexuality], that go unspoken,” he says. “Come on. You cannot be openly gay? At this point? In a singing competition? Give me a break. You cannot hide the basic components of life of these people. The fact that the voice had no qualms is completely open about it is a great thing. ”
Levine also opened up about his brother to leave and his family agreed, insisting that other families should support the other members of the family. “Many people do not want their child is gay and fight it at all costs,” he says. “But I have news for you is a waste of f-king battle. The more you struggle, the more f-ked-up of their children will be. You just have to accept that I have from the beginning. That’s the only way deal with it as a family. Otherwise, you’re just screwing yourself over, and you will make your child miserable. ”
Levine also spoke about their own sexuality, where he has been rumored to be gay. “There is no way to hide my righteousness, but if people do not believe there was a small chance that I was gay, then I would not be doing my job very well,” he said. “Look at the top, the guys that sexuality was always questioned,” he added. “[David] Bowie. [Mick] Jagger, Freddie Mercury would not be the leader of a band if this issue had not been approached at some point.”
He added: “I own to dispel any notion that sexuality is acquired. [Laughs] Trust me, you’re born with it. My brother is gay, and we knew that when he was two. We all knew.”
