Aaliyah Death, It’s officially been 10 years since Aaliyah died in a plane crash in the Bahamas after shooting a movie for the music video “Rock the Boat.” The singer, loved by her dance moves smooth and creamy voice, died at the age of 22.
Celebrity deaths are nothing new. We were both surprised by the almost eerily anticipate, especially in the mad media circus in 2011. But unlike the death of the involvement of a singer who spent his life on the edge, or delight in a life of drugs and alcohol, from Aaliyah was truly amazing and tragic alike.
Upon the death of Aaliyah, the star was rising. Already known for songs like “One in a Million,” Aaliyah soon caught the acting bug. Of course, “Romeo Must Die” was not a movie to send to the academy with the hope of winning an Oscar nomination, but showed solid acting chops Aaliyah against quality actors Isaiah Washington and Delroy Lindo.
So when the news of Aaliyah died on August 25, 2001, any true fan of music R & B could not help but be severely affected. This was not a rapper who embraced life thug or a Hollywood star who could not leave out the needle.
Aaliyah Dana Haughton This was the talented young woman who earned the nickname “Princess of R & B” and “Queen of Urban Pop”.
At 22 years old.
The sky was the limit for Aaliyah. And while it’s a shame that never grew up beyond the legal drinking age, at least we can be grateful for the music he left behind. Music was her talent and gave us a look at the untapped potential of a life taken too soon.
