6.5 Mexico Earthquake, A 6.5 earthquake hit Mexico Las Choapas, a city of about 83,000 people. The quake was also felt in Mexico City as buildings swayed for several seconds in the capital.
Earthquake in Mexico 2011 report that had a depth of 104 kilometers was also felt in Chiapas. There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The earthquake in Mexico occurred 6.5 hours after magnitude 7.4 earthquakes hit Japan. A tsunami warning was issued for the quake, but the alert was later lifted.
