50,000 McDonald’s Jobs, A popular fast food chain serving more than Big Macs and fries today. It was also the delivery of jobs to qualified applicants. As part of McDonald’s National Day of Employment, is looking to add 50 new employees across the country. 180 of the jobs available in Southwest Florida.

The region is home to McDonald’s restaurants and seven-franchised scattered Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and parts of Sarasota counties.

The giant fast means good recruitment goal of between 3 and 4 new hires by location.

In the restaurant Del Prado Blvd. in North Cape Coral, dozens filling out applications and sat for interviews, including Roosevelt Lauria.

“I have a hunger to learn, so I think,” Lauria said before the interview.

The husband and father work in retail, but his hours were reduced because the economy suffers. Has been forced to find part-time work elsewhere, but he does not care.

“I even scrub toilets,” said Lauria. “I have to take care of my family.”

Available positions covering the entire spectrum, from crew management.

These are all works of Deanna Cruz said. The restaurant manager says they are looking for highly motivated candidates.

“I’m looking looking for sharp people who really want the job. Not just someone who is looking to complete this application for unemployment. I’m looking for someone who really ready to work.”

And those who get the positions have to be ready quickly. Selected applicants will know if they are hired for Wednesday, and the orientation is set for Friday.

Unemployment rate in Florida is currently 11.1 percent. That is lower than has been in over a year but still above the national average.
