50 Shades Of Gray, Coming to a book club near you, “50 Shades of Grey” has the world talking right now. And so we’ve created a SparkNotes-style cheat sheet so you can BS your way though the impending watercooler conversation…

Context: Author E. L. James is a TV executive, wife and mother of two based in West London. Since a child she has dreamed of writing stories and this, her first, novel is currently the #1 e-book fiction bestseller on the New York Times website and #3 on Amazon.com.

Described as “mummy prn” and “Twilight for grownups” this book and its ertc contents have already created a stir, with the New York Times, The Today Show US, Huffington Post and all forms of social media featuring the novel as fodder for discussion. It was first published in May 2011 but having now gone viral a publishing group has offered James an undisclosed seven figure sum for the rights to reprint and publish the book.
