24 Movie

24 Movie24 Movie:After tonight, Jack Bauer is finally going to take the day off – for a while anyway. Although 24 goes off the air, there are plans to make a movie based on the television series. It is supposedly going to involve Jack battling some form of abuse in Europe. But where?

Executive producer Howard Gordon recently told Movieweb, “The current state of the film is that Billy Ray has written a draft that Kiefer Sutherland has read, and we are all working together on the second draft.”

He warned: “Now, it has not been shared with Fox or anyone else so there is no official status at this time. It is largely a work in progress. Honestly, the film division is on the other side of the plot and I do not know and can not measure their intentions or their time, and certainly can not gauge their reaction to the script because I have not read yet. ”

Gordon concluded: “So I think it is all very speculative at this time. I think our preference would be to do it sooner rather than later, of course, and get Jack out in front of people within a year or two, but I do not I know. That would only talk to me. ”

The executive producer believes there is a delicate balance in drafting the screenplay. He shared, “There are two types of requirements, which is in honor of the series and the creative integrity of character, and, potentially, using a new group of people within the franchise that can then go back and see, and believe who have been consistent. So I think we recognize that we’re serving two masters or two hearings not here, they are mutually exclusive, but there are two requirements. ”

One thing is certain, the presumption of events that happen in real time will probably have to be abandoned. Gordon has shared in the past that format, while interesting, often limited to what kind of stories they could tell. He believes the film can work without it though. He said: “I think the character Jack Bauer is sufficiently broad and strong shoulders to carry a film of this genre.”

What do you think? Is the essential real-time format? What has to be in a movie of 24?
