2012 NFL Scouting Combine

February 25, 2012 by staff

2012 NFL Scouting Combine, No team was more decimated by injury in 2011 than the Kansas Chiefs, losing safety Eric Berry, tight end Tony Moeaki and star running back Jamaal Charles for good, early last season.

Matt Cassel, also injured in 2011, appeared in just nine games as well, but general manager Scott Pioli told the media today at the scouting combine that Cassel will be the team’s starter in 2012.

The goods news is that each of those players was injured early in 2011, so they should be ready to go for training camp later this summer.

More so than the draft, getting healthy players back will greatly improve the Kansas City Chiefs.

Two other notes from Chiefs camp: The team will sit down with Robert Griffin III this evening, and they are also looking to take a right tackle in the draft in order to sure up a position that gave up way too many pressures last year.
