2012 Alabama Football Schedule

January 10, 2012 by staff

2012 Alabama Football Schedule, The 2012 Southeastern Conference schedule was released on Wednesday, and the rigorous stretch of games the Alabama Crimson Tide must go through next season will prove to be too difficult.

Nicka Saban will be losing too much talent next year, and even though he continues to bring in top recruiting classes, not having the experienced stars will hurt Alabama in 2012.

That, along with an intimidating schedule, is why the Crimson Tide are doomed next year.

Key players—such as safety Mark Barron, wide receivers Marquis Maze and Darius Hanks, tight end Brad Smelley, linebacker Courtney Upshaw, defensive back DeQuan Menzie and defensive lineman Josh Chapman—will all be graduating this year.

Plus, top players like running back Trent Richardson, linebacker Dont’a Hightower and defensive back Dre Kirkpatrick could all leave early for the NFL. All three would likely be first-round picks, so it’s doubtful any of them return.

Of course, the result of the BCS title game against LSU could have an impact on their decision, but even still, Alabama’s schedule is too daunting next season for the Crimson Tide to return to BCS glory with or without those three.
