2011 Us Open Golf Leaderboard, For 11.2 U.S. Open golf tournament in Maryland was topped again by Rory McIlroy, who stunned the crowd with amazing skill in his game in the second round of action. Rory McIlroy fired a 66 for the day put it well in front.
After the first day, directing McIlroy criticized over the eighteen holes to finish five under par, to put it to -11 for the two rounds is the best score in history going back over 100 years. As it did in the Masters and British Open, McIlroy rose to the top of the standings, but had his hopes dashed at the Masters shot 80 on the last day.
The record could have been even more impressive if not for a ruling on the final hole, where he shot a double bogey to finish the day even eleven under par.
The U.S. Open tournament is one of the biggest golf events of the year, which has thrived despite the absence of Tiger Woods, who is nursing an injury at home.
