2011 Masters Golf Tournament, The 2011 Masters Tournament was launched today as the sun began to rise in Augusta, Georgia. The golf course will be cut to size on Saturday, so every movement has to this day golfers.

Check out the top three golfers in the day. The leader after the first round is played Rory McIlroy -7 excellent finish under par. If you play half that well in the coming days may still be in the classification is on Sunday!

There is a two-way tie for second place between YE Yang and Alvaro Quiros.

2010 Masters Tournament champion Phil Mickelson is at -3 under par with one hole to go before the end of his first day.

Tiger Woods has left the door rather slow, ending his first round at -1, 6 shots off the lead.

Tomorrow is a big day for golfers who are in the numbers because their lives will be competing for 2011 Masters tournament.

This includes local golfer Lion Kim Michigan. Kim, University of Michigan shot a four over in his Masters debut. Hopefully the U of M golf star may have a better day tomorrow. The nerves to compete in the Masters had to be a factor, sure.

There should be some great golf to come!
