Takeru Kobayashi  Arrested in usaTakeru Kobayashi — JapanProbe — Japan mega-eater Takeru Kobayashi was arrested yesterday after he tried to crash the celebration of victory in the 2010 Fourth of July Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest:
Side-lined dining competitive Takeru Kobayashi went berserk and was arrested Sunday assault on the stage after a contract dispute prevented him from competing in the annual competition hot Nathan’s Dog Food.

The police beat her fists on the diminutive former champion after he watched from the crowd while his arch rival Joey (Jaws) Chestnut took home the mustard yellow belt.

The use of a “Free Kobi” T-shirt, Kobayashi tried to break into the stage during the awards ceremony, climbing over the crowd of Coney Island and struggling with police who tried to stop him.

“He tried to jump on stage during the awards ceremony to interrupt,” said contest organizer Richard Shea. “It is unprofessional and undesirable and, frankly, rather frustrating.”

Kobayashi, 32, was transferred to the 60th police station, where the pending charges.

Kobayashi was not on stage this year apparently because he refused to sign a contract that limits their professional activities in eating contests affiliated with Major League Eating organization.
